Identity security provider Veza recently launched its Veza Identity Partner Program (VIPP), a global program for resellers and channel partners.

VIPP targets success with VARs, GSIs, and CSPs

VIPP is meant to boost go-to-market success and build strategic partnerships. It focuses on empowering select partners with key ecosystems, including value-added resellers (VARs), global system integrators (GSIs), cloud service providers (CSPs), and strategic alliances.

The VIPP was established to foster a partner-driven ecosystem to promote scalability, innovation, and high-margin partner services while driving the widespread adoption of identity security solutions.

“Identity is the #1 battleground in security. It requires a modern approach that bridges the gap between IT and security operations with a unified identity security platform,” said Tom Barsi, SVP of channels and ecosystems at Veza. “We believe the best way to help organizations transform and modernize their identity infrastructure is by leveraging our mutual partners. That’s why Veza is committed to a 100 percent partner-first strategy, and we are seeing amazing momentum as a result.”

According to Veza, the VIPP program contains five tenets:

  • High-margin partner services: Exclusive rewards, technical enablement, and commitment to drive partner-enabled identity services.
  • Simplicity and alignment: A transparent framework for seamless partner engagement.
  • Partner enablement: Role-based training and certification programs to enhance expertise.
  • Innovation and differentiation: Co-development of partner services and solutions that meet enterprise customer needs.
  • Seamless product integrations: Out-of-the-box product integrations for enterprise systems, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Oracle, CrowdStrike, Workday, Snowflake, Hashicorp, and others.

The benefits for partners participating in the VIPP include:

  • Financial incentives: Competitive margins, deal registration discounts, and market development funds (MDF).
  • Exclusive enablement training: Tailored sales and technical pathways, demo environments, and certifications.
  • Co-marketing and demand generation: Joint marketing campaigns, field events, and digital marketing support.
  • Strategic collaboration and business planning: Participation in Veza’s Partner Advisory Board, quarterly business reviews, and executive briefings.

“Identity security is foundational to modern customer security,” said Rich Douros, Chief Revenue Officer from Defy Security, a strategic partner in VIPP. “As organizations continue to face increasingly complex security challenges, managing identities and access has become essential to mitigating risk and ensuring compliance. Veza’s partner program equips partners to deliver the best solutions in this crucial area, helping organizations stay secure while achieving their business goals.”

David Sakamoto joins Veza

In other Veza news, the organization added David Sakamoto as SVP of global customer success.

Sakamoto will concentrate on Veza’s global customer success initiatives in both pre-sales and post-sales, helping customers achieve their business goals through an improved identity security approach.

“Veza’s innovative approach to identity security presents an opportunity to fundamentally transform how organizations visualize, manage, and control access across the enterprise,” said Sakamoto. “Our focus on customer success, including solutions engineering, ensures that we not only meet our customers’ current needs, but also help them realize long-term value. As enterprises are ready to embrace the next-gen identity platform, we will help them to architect future identity security requirements to fit their unique business journey.”

Before joining Veza, Sakamoto was the Global Head of Customer Success at GitLab and previously led Cisco’s Americas Customer Success organization for its subscription and networking software products. He also held various roles at EVault, Genentech, and SGI.

“David’s proven track record in scaling customer success organizations and helping customers achieve their business outcomes makes him an invaluable asset to Veza,” said Kane Lightowler, COO and President of Veza. “His deep passion for customer outcomes and his ability to drive measurable business growth aligns perfectly with our mission to transform identity security.”
