ConnectWise, a provider of professional service automation
applications, says it has developed a cloud-based platform for unified
business process management systems to enable easy integration of
third-party applications to its platform.

The Tampa, Fla.-based company says the new platform provides tight
integration between ConnectWise PSA software and other technologies for
VARs, MSPs and IT service companies.

That opens up a world of possibilities for the company’s 32,000
customers and 2,600 partners, says CEO Arnie Bellini. He says that
ConnectWise’s open API enables third-party developers to integrate with
the ConnectWise platform with only about 20 hours of work. And these
new applications then will provide more functionality to ConnectWise’s
IT service company customers.

“We are one of the first Burger King models of a cloud solution,”
Bellini tells Channel Insider, saying that VARs and MSPs can have it
their way. Already integrated with ConnectWise Cloud are Xerox’s
PagePack managed print offering as well as offerings from SonicWall and
N-Able.

ConnectWise is one of the technology pieces that make up Tech Data’s portfolio of managed services offerings.
The distributor announced its managed services offerings two years ago,
and its relationship with ConnectWise extends back even further to 2004.

ConnectWise PSA will still be available as an on-premise software solution as well, the company says.

Earlier this month ConnectWise announced it would acquire the PSA assets of CoreConnex.
