Throughout March, organizations in the channel have expanded their service offerings by merging with or acquiring another company, continuing the trend of reshaping innovations in AI, cybersecurity, networking, and more.
This month brings several acquisitions from major players in the channel and the broader IT ecosystem.
Google’s road to acquiring Wiz
IT, cloud, and search engine giant, Google, recently announced the acquisition of Wiz, Inc., a cloud security platform, for $32 billion.
The New York-based cloud security platform will join Google Cloud to enhance its efforts in advancing cloud security and multicloud usage.
Wiz is an easy-to-use security platform that integrates with all major cloud services and code environments to help prevent cybersecurity incidents. Organizations of various sizes can utilize Wiz to protect what they build and run in the cloud.

Blue Mantis acquires 3 firms
Digital strategy services provider Blue Mantis has made waves in recent weeks, announcing the acquisition of three firms to expand its network and carrier services for customers.
TELigence Partners, Brevin Systems, and Calkins Networks were among the acquired firms. The three firms specialize in IT, networking, telecommunications, and managed services.
Furthermore, John King, President and founder of TELigence Partners, Dan Brisson, founder and security architect of Brevin Systems, and Derrick Calkins, President and founder of Calkins Networks, will join Blue Mantis’ leadership team across the services and sales functions.

IBM makes HashiCorp acquisition
IBM recently announced the acquisition of HashiCorp, a company that provides tools for automating and securing the infrastructure behind hybrid cloud applications and GenAI systems.
“Organizations globally are looking to deploy modern, hybrid cloud-ready apps, which require automated cloud infrastructure at significant scale,” said Rob Thomas, senior vice president, IBM software and chief commercial officer. “With this acquisition, IBM is committed to continuing to invest in and grow the HashiCorp capabilities, and together, with HashiCorp’s leading technology and extensive developer community, IBM’s global reach and R&D resources, our aim is to infuse HashiCorp technology in every data center.”
By acquiring HashiCorp, the two companies will combine their strengths to tackle the increasing challenges enterprises encounter in effectively managing and modernizing their cloud infrastructure and security operations.
Additionally, this acquisition will boost IBM’s automation toolkit to provide more value for customers’ IT budgets.
UiPath’s Peak acquisition
Automation and AI software organization UiPath recently acquired Peak, a U.K.-based AI-native company.
Peak’s AI platform optimizes product inventory and pricing for businesses of all sizes across various industries. It allows customers to create AI workflows, process data, and generate predictions for enhancing critical business processes through APIs or integrated web applications.
Through this acquisition, Peak’s solutions will integrate with UiPath to scale globally and reach new industries, thus allowing customers and stakeholders the opportunity to continue growth and innovation. Further, Peak’s focus on accelerating AI adoption will allow UiPath to accelerate market growth and deliver vertical-oriented, next-generation AI-driven agentic applications with intelligence powered by LLMs.

Xurrent acquires Zenduty
Xurrent, a service and operations management platform, has acquired Zenduty, a provider of incident and alert management solutions, to accelerate issue resolution and prevent recurring problems.
By integrating Zenduty into Xurrent’s IT service management (ITSM) capabilities, customers can achieve comprehensive, end-to-end IT operations and service management within a single, unified platform.
“Xurrent is excited to announce a major advancement in our ITOM capabilities,” said Phil Christianson, the chief product officer at Xurrent. “Our StatusCast acquisition last April enhanced our platform to dramatically improve organizations’ abilities to communicate details of major incidents. Now, with the acquisition of Zenduty, we will enable IT to automate and streamline incident resolution and root cause remediation, ensuring faster fixes and preventing repeat incidents.”
Further, when a significant incident occurs, this integration ensures that organizations can manage and resolve issues quickly and implement structured approaches to prevent recurrences. Zenduty will empower incident response teams to coordinate effectively. At the same time, Xurrent’s ITSM platform ensures tasks are assigned to the correct teams and tracked and completed on time to drive continuous improvement between incidents.
SolarWinds to acquire Squadcast
The secure observability and IT management software provider, SolarWinds, has announced the acquisition of Squadcast, a San Francisco-based incident response solution company. Squadcast integrates on-call alerting, incident response, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) workflows into a single framework to efficiently automate human tasks.
“With the industry battles to operationally manage and control hybrid ecosystems and the massive influx of alerts, IT professionals need a more powerful solution to cut through the noise,” said Cullen Childress, SolarWinds chief product officer. “The addition of intelligent incident response from Squadcast to the SolarWinds Platform further accelerates MTTR, allowing practitioners to not only accelerate time to detection of incidents, but to remediate those incidents in an accelerated manner, maximizing their operational resilience.”
According to Squadcast, users have reported benefits such as a 68 percent reduction in the average mean time to remediation (MTTR), along with savings of 1,000 work hours and $500K in costs.

The 20 MSP acquires Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions
The 20 MSP announced the acquisition of Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions (MACS), expanding its presence in the D.C. metropolitan area.
MACS had originally joined The 20’s membership-based growth platform, The 20 MSP Group, in 2020.

Precisely to acquire DTS Software
Global data integrity provider Precisely is set to acquire DTS Software, a provider of mainframe storage optimization software, to enhance its delivery of end-to-end solutions that optimize the integrity and value of enterprise data residing in the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments.
DTS offers tools for organizations to manage, automate, and optimize their data storage infrastructures. Its solutions are utilized by large global enterprises across various industries such as insurance, banking, financial services, and retail, to enhance storage performance and improve operational efficiencies.
