Decentralized cloud storage organization, Storj, recently announced a new integration with NodeShift that will expand decentralized compute and hot storage to support the deployment of AI agents, LLMs and other data-intensive applications with scalable compute infrastructure.
Mission-critical data enablement for partners and customers
This integration will enhance the functionality and performance of NodeShift, a decentralized AI cloud. The combination of Storj and NodeShift will deliver users an easy, cost-effective, sustainable, secure, and powerful solution for hot data storage and compute-intensive workloads.
“We’re already seen early adopters benefit from this combined offering, including a top hospital in Arizona advancing state-of-the-art processes for optimizing research and operational analytics, and the data visualization company Earthvisionz, which integrates hundreds of sources of accurate information visualized on a users command center map and delivered to key stakeholders during any critical event, minimizing risk, initiating repairs, and helping recovery professionals restore communities to normal following an emergency event,” said Mihai Mǎrcuțǎ, Co-founder at NodeShift. “Customers like these rely on NodeShift and Storj so their mission-critical data enables them to deliver on their promises to stakeholders.”
The integration allows NodeShift customers to deploy Storj’s decentralized storage alongside their compute VMs and GPU instances, offering a cost-effective, secure, high-performance, scalable alternative to traditional cloud solutions.
Among the benefits for the new integration include:
- Hot storage with S3 compatibility: Storj’s S3 gateway interface integrates easily with existing tools and workflows, enabling a smooth transition to decentralized storage.
- Decentralized architecture: Storj enhances durability, security, and performance by distributing data across a globally redundant network.
- Compute and GPU integration: Customers can spin up CPU or GPU-based VMs directly connected to Storj, which is helpful for data-heavy applications such as geospatial analytics, machine learning, and large-scale data processing.
Integrating NodeShift with Storj also helps customers store and process data more efficiently and reliably.
Storj launches partner program
This news comes not long after Storj launched its own partner program in late 2024. The organization established a partner portal in 2023 but committed to a more intentional partner program.
Storj’s new partner program includes updates to its partner portal and new resources for channel partners to help them sell Storj solutions to clients.
“We knew we would get a lot of ‘how do I, as a partner, talk about these products and about Storj?’ and we also learned that a lot of partners also really wanted things like white papers to give to their customers directly. We had kind of relied on presentations and conversations internally, so we had to develop a lot of these resources for partners in the program,” Storj CEO Colby Winegar told Channel Insider.
Winegar says Storj’s available resources are tailored specifically to solutions providers and others with specific needs that differ from the goals of other internal resources previously available.
