SonicWall has partnered with CrowdStrike in a new collaboration that gives MSPs stronger tools to protect their customers with end-to-end managed threat protection. It means more comprehensive security solutions without the complexity.
The solution, SonicSentry MXDR, combines network, endpoint, and cloud protection, all supported by round-the-clock security and network operations centers. For MSPs looking to level up their security offerings, this partnership gives them the tools they need in their arsenal to protect their clients from the bad guys.
Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) rely pretty heavily on MSPs for their tech and security needs. The rub is that many providers simply don’t have the resources for fully-staffed 24/7 security monitoring. This makes it extremely difficult to effectively monitor their clients’ networks and quickly jump on threats that pop up. As the intersection of more sophisticated cyber threats and increasing compliance requirements gets closer and more intense, MSPs need a more straightforward yet more powerful security approach.
Enterprise-grade protection made accessible
SonicSentry is SonicWall’s answer to this challenge. The solution features managed detection and response (MDR), MDR for the cloud, and MDR for the network. MSPs can purchase these services individually without contracts or minimums or implement the complete MXDR solution. The platform combines endpoint security, cloud protection, and network defense with expert Security Operations Center monitoring. With CrowdStrike’s Falcon cybersecurity platform, SonicWall customers gain access to AI-powered detection and response capabilities that significantly strengthen their overall security posture.
“SonicWall has always been committed to delivering cost-effective, enterprise-level security solutions to small businesses, which are increasingly targeted by sophisticated cyberattacks,” said Bob VanKirk, SonicWall president and CEO. “That can only be accomplished by having the right people armed with the right tools. Our broad portfolio of solutions is now enhanced through our partnership with industry leading solutions like those from CrowdStrike. With CrowdStrike, we are ensuring that our SMB customers, and the partners who support them, have access to best-in-class endpoint protection. This effectively extends the bench of our MSP partners and meets them on their services journey to deliver stronger, more proactive security services while giving customers the confidence that their businesses are protected against cyber threats that were once a concern only for large corporations.”
Meeting the evolving security needs of SMBs
Daniel Bernard, CrowdStrike’s chief business officer, adds that MSPs are facing increasing challenges. These include managing complex and sometimes weak security stacks, combating threats, and securing SMBs with limited resources.
“Through our SonicWall partnership, we’re simplifying security, enhancing threat protection, and enabling MSPs to focus on what matters most — keeping their customers secure and helping SMBs thrive in an increasingly digital world,” said Bernard.
Tools and solutions like this, those aimed at proactively mitigating cyber threats to keep businesses protected and running, will position MSPs to stay ahead of the curve.
