Cyber risk compliance and warranty solutions provider Cork Protection has recently launched the Cork Cyber Insurance Policy Analyzer, an AI-powered tool that helps MSPs instantly understand and evaluate any client’s cyber insurance policy, eliminating hours of manual review while uncovering hidden gaps in coverage.
Cork CEO Dan Candee shared more about the tool and Cork’s approach to security with Channel Insider ahead of the announcement.
New tool leverages agentic AI to enable MSPs advising SMBs on cyber policy options
This new policy analyzer is an addition to the Cork Risk Monitoring Platform, combining real-time threat intelligence, adaptive premium options, and an embedded cyber warranty to give MSPs a smarter, more financially integrated approach to cyber protection.
“We’re the only company in the world doing exactly what we’re doing,” Candee said. “Partners struggle with what to do when it comes to insurance, because they don’t sell policies, but their clients are asking their MSPs for help with determining the right policy, and of course, the partners want to help. We make those conversations easier to have.”
The analyzer uses Cork’s agentic AI to scan and interpret dense policy language, flag missing or unclear coverage areas, and highlight how Cork’s cyber warranty can reduce risk. The tool produces a client-ready summary in under two minutes, helping MSPs guide their customers to more informed coverage decisions.
Candee says the tool was actually inspired by the manual work performed by one of Cork’s employees, who helped MSPs sift through dense policy paperwork to make appropriate recommendations to clients.
When that employee went on maternity leave and others on the team took on the ad hoc requests, Cork began to think through how the process could be automated and then offered to all partners at no charge within the platform.
To use the policy analyzer, MSPs will upload any cyber insurance policy in PDF or text format. The analyzer will then automatically scan the document, extract and evaluate key terms, and utilize Cork’s AI to identify coverage gaps or unclear language. The Analyzer will then recommend how Cork’s cyber warranty addresses the gaps and enhances the organization’s risk posture.
Cork’s announcement highlights a reduction in the time spent reading and analyzing policies, along with the efficiencies gained by utilizing agentic AI capabilities integrated into a platform that already evaluates the client’s entire security landscape regarding the policy in question.
Candee also emphasizes the longer-term benefits that partners gain by providing tangible cost savings and increased expertise to clients.
“We’re giving our partners something they can give to their clients that is impactful and meaningful,” Candee said. “One of the outcomes we’ve seen with beta partners is that an MSP can now help a client show an insurance provider how secure they are, and how solid their posture is. When the insurance provider then offers that client a discounted rate because they have earned one, that is validation for the service provider and the work they have done.”
“This tool is a game changer!” said Jason Makevich, the founder & CEO of Greenlight Cyber. “Getting a seat at the table has always been a challenge for MSPs. Cork’s platform and now especially this new Cork Cyber Insurance Policy Analyzer feature gives us the opportunity to upgrade our conversation from the IT department to the boardroom. The best MSPs lead their clients through cyber risk management, and Cork helps us deliver that.”
The analyzer tool is one component of Cork’s larger mission to protect Main Street USA
Candee joined Cork in 2024 to lead the company through the next iteration of its platform capabilities, launching Cork 2.0 in July of that year. To him, the mission to support SMBs through channel partners is deeply personal and informs everything the company does.
“I’m a main street guy,” Candee said, noting his parents own a small restaurant and his brother serves in law enforcement. “SMBs need security, even if some still think they are too small to be breached. They aren’t, and we want to ensure SMBs can access the tools, partners, and coverage they need.”
The company’s platform evaluates risks across an end user’s environment and alerts MSPs to potential threats. The multi-tenant support provides partners with a unified view of all clients and, according to Candee, enables MSPs to support SMBs easily and cost-effectively as the threat landscape continues to grow.
The Cork approach to the channel involves centering MSPs as the experts on the ground who need support from vendors and connectors like Cork. MSPs, according to Candee, can choose the best solutions for their customers and then leverage Cork’s $500,000 cyber warranty that covers any issues that may arise.
“MSPs know their customers better than I ever will, and they should choose the solutions they know will work best for them,” Candee said. “We come in and turn on all the lights in the house to show MSPs where the gaps are, and how they can fill those gaps and keep SMBs more secure.”
