Security vendor Sophos is the latest to offer its solutions to MSPs through the Pax8 cloud marketplace. Both companies tout this new partnership as a way to enable small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) through the over 40,000 partners who transact through Pax8.

Full breadth of Sophos security solutions now available to Pax8 partners

Sophos claims to offer the “most comprehensive portfolio of any single cybersecurity vendor” currently available in the marketplace. The company’s solutions address various security needs, including managed detection, endpoint protection, and firewall offerings. Additionally, Sophos offers these solutions through a streamlined platform experience that promises to save MSPs time on day-to-day management tasks.

“Sophos and Pax8 are strongly aligned in our mission to empower MSPs with best-in-class end-to-end security services and products while simplifying lifecycle management of these solutions and reducing operational overhead,” said Sophos CEO Joe Levy. “MSPs want to align with vendors who are easy to work with and this agreement will make it even easier for MSPs to work with Sophos, something we’ve long been committed to. With cybersecurity, speed and innovation are essential for defending against attackers.”

“This partnership with Pax8 accelerates MSP access to critical cybersecurity tools, enabling them to better protect their customers in an increasingly complex and volatile threat landscape.”

According to Sophos, over 60 percent of its MDR customers are currently served through MSPs, and the vendor seems keen to expand its footprint within channel providers through the marketplace.

Both companies aim to bring enterprise-grade security tooling to SMBs, which often lack the resources necessary to leverage sophisticated solutions. Pax8 partners are largely focused on supporting the SMB market and can soon add Sophos to their service offerings.

“MSPs today need solutions that align with the way they operate—cloud-first, flexible and easy to manage at scale. Pax8 is revolutionizing the way MSPs access and deploy cloud-based solutions, and cybersecurity is an important piece of the overall stack,” said Pax8 CEO Scott Chasin. ‘By bringing Sophos’ innovative security offerings to our marketplace, Pax8 is providing our partners with access to enterprise-grade security solutions for their SMB customers in a way that simplifies management, reduces risk, and drives profitability.”

Pax8 brings simplified billing and operational resources to MSPs

Pax8 is often celebrated by its partners for its dedication to enablement opportunities and simplified billing processes. With Sophos slated to become available on February 28, current Pax8 partners who utilize the security vendor are excited to bring their business into the fold.

“We have been a longtime Sophos security partner and longtime Pax8 distribution partner. We have been eagerly waiting for Sophos to join the Pax8 Marketplace to streamline how we do business,” said Rob Fallows, the president of TeamLogic IT Northwest Valley. “Working with Pax8 is a seamless experience that makes it easy to focus on better serving our customers. We never need to prompt them for invoices and execution is flawless.”

Greg Rogers, the owner and chief technical officer of IPM Computers, agrees.

“Sophos has been our trusted security partner for nearly a decade, consistently going above and beyond to integrate our feedback into its product portfolio. They truly listen to their customers, continuously enhancing their solutions to provide the highest level of security,” Rogers said. “Having worked with numerous cybersecurity vendors, I can confidently say that Sophos offers the best technology on the market. Their layered defense approach, combined with a highly skilled team, makes them uniquely equipped to combat evolving cyber threats.”

“Additionally, our distribution partnership with Pax8 has been seamless from the start. Their effortless purchasing process, outstanding technical support, and commitment to exceptional customer service have made all the difference,” he added.

Sophos is expected to become available on the Pax8 marketplace starting February 28, 2025.
